The National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (NAEYC), the world’s largest organization of early childhood professionals, has developed 10 standards to help families make the right choice when looking for a quality childcare center, preschool, TK or kindergarten program.
Early childhood education programs that are NAEYC-accredited have voluntarily undergone a comprehensive process of internal self-study and assessment. As part of the accreditation process, an external professional review is completed to verify compliance with NAEYC’s Criteria for High Quality Early Childhood Programs.
To earn NAEYC accreditation, programs must meet or exceed the criteria in all 10 standards in the areas of Relationships; Curriculum; Teaching; Assessment of Child Progress; Health; Staff Competencies, Preparation, and Support; Families; Community Relationships; Physical Environment; and Leadership and Management. These quality standards are based on research on the development and education of young children and were created with input from the nation’s leading education experts. More information about the 10 NAEYC Program Standards can be found on the NAEYC For Families website.
We’re proud to have earned the designation of an NAEYC-accredited program and are committed to providing our families with high-quality early childhood education.
