Our Standards

We follow the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) standards to ensure our curriculum and teaching strategies are developmentally appropriate for young learners. This means we plan lessons and activities based on how children naturally grow, learn, and explore the world.

Our Curriculum

We use The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool, which is designed to support children’s natural curiosity and love of learning. In our program, both children and teachers work together to choose a topic of study that sparks interest. Then, the topic is discussed as a group and explored in fun and meaningful ways.

Our classroom curriculum encompasses:

  • Social skills and emotional development
  • Language and early literacy
  • Math and science exploration
  • Spanish language learning
  • Music and art
  • Physical education and movement
  • Small motor coordination

Every part of our program is designed to help your child build confidence and a strong foundation for future learning.

Examples of study topics include Pets, Trees, Insects, Music, Nutrition, Exercise, Construction and Recycling.

Assessment

To support each child’s learning and growth, we use the Creative Curriculum GOLD Assessment System to monitor progress throughout the year. This research-based assessment tool is aligned with state early learning standards, helping us track important developmental milestones children reach at each age.

Through ongoing observation and documentation, we gain insight into each child’s strengths, interests, and areas of growth. This allows teachers to support all learners, and intentionally plan activities and lessons that are meaningful, developmentally appropriate, and responsive to each child’s learning style.
